About The Opportunity
We are recruiting an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to join a high-volume clinical team delivering patient-centric orthopaedic, trauma and joint-replacement services. The role emphasizes surgical excellence, evidence-based care, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.Role & Responsibilities
- Perform elective and emergency orthopaedic surgeries including primary joint replacements and trauma procedures with consistent procedural quality and safety.
- Manage outpatient clinics: evaluate patients, establish diagnoses, develop treatment plans and coordinate pre-/post-operative care.
- Lead trauma team responses and oversee fracture stabilization, fixation planning and postoperative rehabilitation pathways.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, operative records and participate in morbidity & mortality reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with anaesthesia, physiotherapy, nursing and radiology to deliver coordinated perioperative care and optimise length of stay and outcomes.
- Contribute to departmental protocols, clinical governance, peer training and periodic audits to uphold clinical standards.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MS Orthopaedics or DNB Orthopaedics (recognized Indian qualification)
- Valid registration with the relevant State Medical Council / Medical Council
- Proven independent operative experience in joint replacement and trauma surgery
- Proficiency in Total Knee Arthroplasty
- Proficiency in Total Hip Arthroplasty
- Proficiency in Arthroscopy (knee and shoulder) and Fracture Fixation (ORIF)
Preferred
- Fellowship in Joint Replacement, Arthroscopy or Orthopaedic Trauma
- Experience with minimally invasive or computer-assisted/robotic-assisted joint replacement techniques
- Prior experience in academic teaching, supervision of residents or clinical research
