Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Technical Support professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software troubleshooting and computer hardware, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service. This role involves assisting users with technical issues across various platforms, including Linux and Mac OS, while utilising tools such as Jira and Remedy to track and resolve support tickets efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for software and hardware issues, ensuring timely resolution of user problems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to desktop environments, including operating systems and applications.
• Assist customers via phone, email, or in-person, delivering high-quality customer service throughout the support process.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions using Jira or similar ticketing systems.
• Collaborate with other IT staff to improve support processes and enhance user experience.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with users to ensure issues are fully resolved and satisfaction is achieved.
• Stay updated on the latest technology trends and best practices in technical support.

Experience

• Proven experience in a technical support role or similar position is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Mac OS operating systems.
• Familiarity with software troubleshooting techniques and computer hardware components.
• Experience using ticketing systems such as Jira or Remedy is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
• Previous experience in desktop support within an office environment is an advantage.
