We are seeking an experienced Oracle PostgreSQL Developer to join our dynamic team in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and managing PostgreSQL databases, ensuring optimal performance and reliability to support our business applications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain PostgreSQL database systems.
Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and schema design.
Work with application developers to integrate PostgreSQL with various applications.
Implement backup and recovery strategies for PostgreSQL databases.
Monitor database health and performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support business requirements.
Perform database upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime.
Ensure data security and compliance with data protection regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

8-10 years of experience in PostgreSQL database development and administration.
Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/pgSQL.
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Proficient in database backup and recovery strategies.
Hands-on experience with data modeling and schema design.
Familiarity with database migration and upgrade processes.
Understanding of data security best practices.
Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
