Oracle GL / Functional Test Lead

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Oracle GL / Functional Test Lead to lead and manage testing activities for Oracle Financials, with a focus on General Ledger (GL) and related financial modules. The ideal candidate should possess deep domain knowledge in Oracle Financials and extensive experience in functional testing and test team coordination. Key Responsibilities: Lead functional testing initiatives for Oracle GL and related modules (e.g., AP, AR, FA, CM). Understand business requirements and translate them into detailed test cases and scenarios. Create and manage comprehensive test strategies, plans, and schedules. Coordinate with business analysts, functional consultants, and technical teams to ensure test coverage. Drive SIT (System Integration Testing), UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and Regression Testing phases. Identify test data requirements and assist in data preparation. Log, track, and report defects using standard defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA). Provide daily/weekly status updates to stakeholders and project managers. Mentor junior testers and ensure adherence to testing best practices and quality standards. Required Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EBS / Fusion Financials, especially in the GL module. Deep functional understanding of financial processes and accounting principles. Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Client ALM, TestRail) and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA). Experience in end-to-end functional testing, including integration with other modules or third-party systems. Ability to write SQL queries for data validation and backend testing. Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Experience working in Agile or Waterfall environments. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Oracle Cloud Financials (Fusion) is a plus. Knowledge of automation tools like Selenium or Oracle Application Testing Suite (OATS) is a bonus. ISTQB or equivalent testing certification is desirable.
