Oracle Financial Functional Consultant

Role & responsibilities : * Act as a subject matter expert for Oracle EBS Finance modules: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), Sub-Ledger Accounting (SLA), and e-Business Tax (EBTAX). * Interact with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and translate them into Oracle EBS solutions. * Perform application configuration, setups, and testing of finance modules. * Conduct gap analysis and suggest best practice solutions. * Prepare functional design documents (MD050s) and work with technical teams for custom developments. * Support month-end and year-end closing activities in Oracle Finance. * Provide production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. * Coordinate and execute system upgrades, patches, and testing cycles. * Train business users and create user documentation and SOPs. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SCM, Projects, and Technical Consultants. Preferred candidate profile : * 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle EBS Finance Functional Consultant. * In-depth knowledge of Oracle R12 Financial modules and their integration points. * Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. * Experience in end-to-end implementation, upgrades, rollouts, and support projects. * Proficiency in preparing AIM/OUM documentation (MD050, BR100, TE020, etc.). * Familiarity with reporting tools such as FSG, BI Publisher, and Oracle Discoverer. * Exposure to Oracle Workflow, AME, and WebADI is a plus. * Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. * Oracle certification in Financials (preferred but not mandatory).
