Job Description

Oracle Database Management:

Administer and maintain the on-premises Oracle 19c database instances, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity.
Monitor database health, resource utilization, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks affecting cloud-to-on-prem communication.
Manage Oracle schemas, users, and permissions relevant to the Super App microservices.

Hybrid Connectivity & Security:

Collaborate directly with the Lead Cloud Architect to define and implement secure network configurations for AWS (Direct Connect/Transit Gateway) to access the on-premises Oracle database.
Configure Oracle Net Services, listeners, and firewalls on the on-premises side to securely allow connections from designated AWS IPs/subnets.
Advise on connection pooling strategies and optimized query patterns for cloud services accessing the on-premises database.
Ensure all Oracle security best practices are applied for remote access, including encryption in transit and robust authentication.

Performance Optimization & Tuning:

Proactively identify and tune SQL queries and database configurations to optimize performance for synchronous cloud microservices.
