Optometrist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a licensed and experienced Tele-Optometrist to provide high-quality eye care services through virtual consultations for customers at our retail store. You will conduct comprehensive eye exams remotely using telehealth technology, ensuring accurate prescriptions and eye health evaluations. This role combines clinical expertise with convenience, expanding access to eye care within a retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct virtual comprehensive eye exams using tele-optometry platforms and in-store diagnostic equipment operated by trained technicians.
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, prescribe corrective lenses, and provide follow-up care as needed.
• Collaborate with in-store optical staff to ensure accurate lens fitting, frame selection, and customer satisfaction.
• Review patient history, assess visual acuity, and evaluate ocular health via high-resolution imaging and live video interaction.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient records in accordance with HIPAA and local regulatory standards.
• Provide consultations on eye care products, including contact lenses and protective eyewear.
• Stay current on advancements in telehealth and optometric practices.
• Support store staff in addressing patient questions and concerns.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active state license(s) in the state(s) where patients are located.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience preferred; new grads welcome with appropriate licensing.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital diagnostic tools.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Comfortable working independently while coordinating with retail teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in a retail or optical chain environment.
• Multistate licensure.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
