Job Description

Experience:

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. New Component & Quality Assurance

  • Product Quality Planning (APQP):

    Drive all supplier-side activities related to

    APQP

    from the concept phase through launch. Ensure the supplier meets all technical milestones and quality gates.
  • Part Approval (PPAP):

    Manage and approve the

    PPAP

    submission and

    PPAP Run

    for all new interior components. Verify that all part dimensions, material specifications, and performance tests are met as per the design requirements.
  • Specification Review:

    Understand Specification & Requirements

    (technical drawings, GD&T, material polymer grades) and communicate them precisely to the potential suppliers.
  • Quality Proving:

    Conduct detailed

    Quality proving

    and validation trials for new components both at the supplier site and in the in-house lab, ensuring robust processes and final product quality.

2. Supplier & Sourcing Support

  • Supplier Qualification:

    Support the Sourcing team by participating in

    Supplier Identification

    ,

    Supplier Selection

    , and conducting initial

    Supplier Audit

    visits to assess process capability, manufacturing expertise, and quality management systems.
  • Process Knowledge:

    Apply deep knowledge of

    Tooling, Raw Material and manufacturing Process Knowledge

    relevant to interior plastics (e.g., Injection Molding, Vacuum Forming, Foaming) to evaluate supplier processes and validate cost drivers.
  • Commercial Support:

    Provide technical input during

    Cost Negotiation

    and contribute data for the

    Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

    analysis related to tooling, raw material, and process stability.
  • On boarding:

    Facilitate

    Supplier On boarding

    activities to ensure new suppliers are integrated smoothly into the quality and logistics systems.

3. Execution & Project Management

  • Technical Travel:

    Must be prepared to

    Travel whenever required

    to supplier sites for process audits, development meetings, and resolving quality or production readiness issues.
  • Risk Management:

    Identify and flag technical and quality risks related to new parts and processes, assisting the team in

    Risk Mitigation

    planning.
  • Documentation & Coordination:

    Maintain all quality-related documents (

    PPAP, APQP

    checklists, audit reports) and coordinate between Design, Sourcing, Quality, and the supplier to ensure alignment.
