Opportunity For Lead Brakes Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and integration of brake systems for new vehicle programs, with a focus on both passenger vehicles (PV) and commercial vehicles (CV).
• Project Management: Plan, manage, and execute brake system projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. • Requirements & Design: Define technical specifications, performance requirements, and design concepts for brake components such as calipers, rotors, master cylinders, boosters, ABS, ESC/ESP, and regenerative braking systems.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with vehicle dynamics, chassis, steering, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal vehicle performance. Supplier Management: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for external suppliers. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate technical specifications, and oversee the development and validation of their components.
• Validation & Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive DVP&R (Design Verification Plan and Report) plans. Oversee component and system-level testing, including performance, durability, and NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) validation.
• Issue Resolution: Lead root cause analysis, implement effective corrective actions for any brake systemrelated issues throughout the development cycle.
• Standards & Compliance: Ensure all brake system designs and components comply with relevant global safety regulations, such as ECE R13/R90 and FMVSS.
• Professional experience in automotive brake system design, development, and validation. • Demonstrated experience with both passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle brake systems is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of brake system architecture and components (hydraulic and pneumatic). • Proven experience in leading engineering projects and managing external suppliers. • Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and how brake systems influence vehicle handling and safety.
