Installation of Utility Infrastructure: Install and lay pipelines, cables, and related utility infrastructure according to engineering specifications. Follow safety guidelines and regulations during installation processes. Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine maintenance on utility systems to ensure proper functionality. Identify and address issues, leaks, or malfunctions promptly to minimize disruptions. Equipment Operation: Operate specialized machinery and equipment used in utility installation and maintenance, such as trenchers, excavators, and welding equipment. Leak Detection: Use various tools and technologies to detect and locate leaks in pipelines. Perform repairs on leaks and ensure the integrity of the utility systems. Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering teams, supervisors, and other utility workers to coordinate projects and tasks. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure the successful completion of assignments. Blueprint Reading: Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and utility plans to determine the location and specifications of utility infrastructure. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Implement safety measures during excavation, installation, and maintenance activities. Quality Assurance: Ensure that utility installations and repairs meet quality standards and comply with relevant codes and regulations. Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers or property owners when necessary, addressing concerns and providing information about utility-related activities.
