Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

. Technical Operations Management: • Oversee full lifecycle operations: installation, commissioning, maintenance, and modernization of elevator systems. • Ensure field teams follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and control logic specifications precisely. • Manage installation methods and quality audits to meet manufacturer and code-specific tolerances.

2. System Performance & Troubleshooting: • Supervise technical escalations related to VVVF drives, door systems, controller logic faults, and ride quality issues (jerk, acceleration, leveling). • Define and implement preventive and predictive maintenance regimes based on system telemetry (IoT) and diagnostic tools. • Analyze field data to optimize Mean Time between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).

3. Technical Compliance & Standards: • Ensure compliance with regional and international elevator safety and design standards (e.g., EN 81-20/50, ASME A17.1, and ISO 25745). • Lead technical audits and internal inspections to validate code compliance and installation best practices.

4. Team & Resource Leadership: • Manage field engineers, service supervisors, and technical support teams across multiple regions. • Approve technical training plans for field personnel (including OEM-specific training and rescue protocols). • Ensure all field teams are equipped with correct tools, diagnostic interfaces (e.g., CAN bus readers), and firmware/software updates.

5. Modernization & Lifecycle Upgrades: • Lead technical evaluation and execution of modernization projects (controllers, drives, gearless traction machines, door operators). • Oversee the selection and integration of compatible retrofit solutions and ensure minimal disruption to service.

6. Vendor & OEM Coordination: • Work closely with OEMs and component suppliers to ensure timely availability of spare parts and engineering support. • Validate and approve vendor-supplied technical documentation, performance data, and integration interfaces.

7. Engineering & Documentation: • Review and approve shop drawings, electrical single-line diagrams, load calculations, hoistway layout tolerances, and pit/headroom clearances. • Maintain a technical library of manuals, service bulletins, fault codes, and firmware change logs.

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics • 8+ years in Elevator industry with strong field and technical management experience.

• Proven expertise in elevator systems: MRL, geared/gearless traction, and hydraulic lifts.

• Strong familiarity with elevator control systems (Experience with diagnostic tools and software (e.g., LiftDesigner, Autocad, PLC diagnostic software)

• Experience in Elevators industry in Mandatory
