Job Description:
The PCB Assembly Operations Head will oversee all aspects of the PCB assembly process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. Key responsibilities include:

- Heading the complete gamut of Manufacturing Operations- Production, Business Excellence, Process Engineering, Warehouse and Inventory management, Health and Safety, Maintenance, Facilities Management, Projects functions, Factory Manager role as per Factories and Labor Acts India
- Responsible for planning & executing production as per the KPIs set for the function.
- Ensure optimum plant Throughput, Capacity Utilization, OEE, Yield, resource utilization.
- Manufacturing Opex- Annual budgeting and controlling.
- Assess capacity expansion and outsourcing needs considering the business growth plan and Make vs Buy decision.
- Clouser of quality issues related to rework and rejections with proper Root cause analysis and actions.
- Closure of customer complaints.
- Create a culture of system-driven and data-based rather than person-driven and opinion-based approach.
- Responsible for bringing in the best cultural workforce for future-ready manufacturing operations.
- Work actively with cross-functional teams in resolving day-to-day operational challenges.
- Manufacturing Operations comprising P&L, setting up of new Production lines enhancement, Productivity Enhancement, Quality Upgrade, Safety Enhancement, Change Management, Cost Reduction & Statutory and regulatory norms, assessing operational risks continuously and implementing suitable countermeasures. Business KPIs set-up and monitoring. Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through Quality, Cost Reduction, (OTD) On Time Delivery in committed time.
- 15+years of experience in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS). Should have 2-3 Years of experience in heading plant operations.

Accountabilities
- Operation Management: Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure smooth functioning of the assembly process.
- Program Management: Lead programs related to PCB assembly, including NPI and process improvements.
- Manufacturing Engineering: Optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Change Management: Implement changes effectively while minimizing disruptions to operations.
- New Product Introduction (NPI): Coordinate the introduction of new products into the assembly line.
- Supply Chain Management: Manage the flow of materials and evaluate suppliers for quality and reliability.
- Cost Savings: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement strategies accordingly.
- Production Planning & Control: Plan and schedule production to meet demand and optimize resources.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Engineering Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of processes and specifications.
- Product/Technology Transfer & Test Setup: Facilitate the transfer of products or technology between facilities and set up test procedures.
- Assembly Methods: Oversee various assembly methods including SMT, PTH, box build, and turnkey assemblies.
- Line Layout & Process Setup: Design assembly line layouts and set up processes for efficient production.
- Process Improvement: Continuously improve manufacturing processes using Lean/Six Sigma principles.
- Process Automation / RPA: Implement automation solutions to streamline operations.
- Equipment Selection: Select appropriate machinery and equipment for the assembly process.
- Quality Control & Assurance: Ensure products meet quality standards through rigorous quality control measures.
- Failure Analysis: Investigate and analyze failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- DFM / Yield Improvement: Implement DFM principles and improve yield rates.
- Problem Solving: Address issues and challenges that arise during the assembly process.
- Conflict Management: Resolve conflicts and promote a positive work environment.
- Team Building: Foster a cohesive and high-performing team culture.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in PCB assembly operations management or related field.
- Strong knowledge of PCB assembly processes and industry standards.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and process improvement initiatives.
