Operational Data Steward

Role Overview: As an Operational Data Steward, your main responsibility will be to support the data owners/stewards in setting common data standards, definitions, and quality requirements. You will collaborate across various business data users, process owners, systems owners, and data creators to ensure data is defined, classified, and catalogued in enterprise tools. Additionally, you will coordinate the capture and tracking of data issues, assist in administering data forums, identify risks and issues, and support the development and maintenance of data as an asset. Key Responsibilities: - Support data owners/stewards in setting common data standards, definitions, and quality requirements - Ensure data is defined, classified, and catalogued in enterprise tools - Collaborate with various business stakeholders to achieve objectives while adhering to data standards - Coordinate the capture and tracking of data issues, including engaging stakeholders and data profiling - Assist in administering data forums and ensuring relevant material is gathered and distributed in a timely manner - Identify risks and issues, quantify impacts or value, and support data classification and organization - Ensure accuracy and accessibility of information to users - Maintain and update Data Catalogue and Business Glossary based on agreed priorities - Drive greater data community adoption of data knowledge tools - Contribute to data quality rule development, monitoring, and recommendations - Liaise with other Data Stewards and SMEs for root cause analysis Qualification Required: - 5+ years of experience in a data role, including data analysis, reporting, analytics, and/or business intelligence - Significant experience in managing data lifecycle processes or data value chains - Experience in technology, process, and/or data projects - Understanding of Data Management maturity models and different data management practices/disciplines - Demonstrated ability to influence and solve complex problems - Strong stakeholder management skills - Proactive and resilient in stakeholder engagement challenges - Agility and adaptability in a rapidly changing working environment - Ability to handle ambiguity and diverse stakeholder needs - Proficiency in SQL - Desirable experience in broader data fields such as data and solution architecture and data analytics - Experience in data catalogue/glossary management - Familiarity with tools like Informatica Axon, EDC, and Data Privacy Management (Note: Any additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.),
