OpenVMS System Administration

You are an experienced System Administrator with a strong expertise in HP VAX VMS / OpenVMS environments. Your role involves managing system installations, configurations, and upgrades to ensure high availability and performance across complex clustered environments. **Responsibilities:** - Administer and maintain OpenVMS systems in a Cluster Environment, including RDB Administration - Install, configure, and manage OpenVMS servers and blade servers - Work with Onboard Administrator, Virtual Connect, and iLO - Manage and support Control-M scheduler, Connect Direct, MQ, and ABC backup tools - Perform third-party software upgrades and installations - Handle patch and package administration, firmware upgrades, and application releases - Manage volume shadowing, disk device management, and VMS Cluster configurations - Oversee Quorum and cluster voting management - Utilize system utilities such as Sysgen, Autogen, Monitor, Audit, Analyze, LANCP, and SCACP - Manage logicals, symbols, and queue management (batch, printer, and server queues) - Develop and maintain DCL scripts - Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for optimal system efficiency - Collaborate with storage and backup teams for SAN configuration (EMC) and TCP/IP, DECnet network changes - Participate in crash dump analysis, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning - Work in 24x7 shift rotations and provide off-hour support for critical incidents - Adhere to Incident, Request, Problem, and Change Management processes - Handle multiple concurrent tasks with strong organizational and analytical skills - Work effectively with geographically dispersed teams **Qualification Required:** - ITIL Certification (Good to Have) - Technical Certifications in relevant technologies (Good to Have) - Strong communication and interpersonal skills (Good to Have),
