Job Description

Role Summary:

OpenText Content Server Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement solutions on
OpenText Content Server (OTCS)
platform.
Configure and customize
Content Server modules, workflows, metadata, categories, and permissions
.
Develop
custom web reports, WebForms, and REST API-based integrations
.
Integrate Content Server with enterprise applications (e.g.,
SAP, SuccessFactors, SharePoint, etc.
) using xECM or APIs.
Implement
document management, records management, and lifecycle configurations
.
Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations of Content Server environments.
Troubleshoot application and performance issues, ensuring system stability and uptime.
Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and functional consultants to deliver ECM solutions aligned with business needs.
Prepare and maintain
technical documentation, configuration guides, and user manuals
.
Ensure compliance with security and governance standards for enterprise content.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

4+ years of hands-on experience in
OpenText Content Server (Version 16.x or later)
.
Strong knowledge of
OTCS architecture, WebReports, SmartView, and Workflow Design
.
Experience with
Content Server APIs (REST, SOAP, or LAPI)
and
Web Services
.
Proficiency in
JavaScript, HTML, XML, and SQL
for customization and automation.
Experience in
xECM integration with SAP / SuccessFactors
is a strong advantage.
Working knowledge of
OpenText Directory Services (OTDS)
and security configuration.
Familiarity with
Content Server deployment, patching, and upgrade processes
.
Good understanding of
document lifecycle management, access control, and metadata modeling
.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
