OpenShift Virtualization Engineer / Cloud Platform Engineer

We are currently looking for a talented individual to join our team as an OpenShift Virtualization Engineer / Cloud Platform Engineer in Chennai. This position offers a hybrid work environment and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team on our on-premises cloud platform. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and managing our OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt) service. Your expertise in Kubernetes, OpenShift, and virtualization technologies will be essential in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our virtualized workloads. Day-to-day responsibilities will include proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining operational excellence. Key responsibilities of this role include: - Observability, monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting to ensure the stability of the OSV environment - Implementing end-to-end observability solutions and exploring Event Driven Architecture for real-time monitoring - Providing technical consulting and expertise to application teams requiring OSV solutions - Developing and maintaining internal documentation and customer-facing content on platform capabilities The ideal candidate will have experience in Kubernetes, OpenShift, deployment, services, storage capacity management, Linux, network protocols, Python scripting, Dynatrace, VMware, problem-solving, technical troubleshooting, communication, Red Hat, Terraform, Tekton, Ansible, GitHub, GCP, AWS, Azure, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and DevOps. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with 5+ years of IT infrastructure experience and 2+ years focused on Kubernetes and/or OpenShift, is required. Preferred qualifications include certifications in OpenShift Virtualization, experience with IaC tools, familiarity with SDN and SDS solutions, knowledge of public cloud providers, and CI/CD pipelines. A Master's degree is preferred but not required.
