OpenShift Platform Engineer

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced OpenShift & Open Source Administrator to manage, maintain, and support enterprise container platforms and open-source infrastructure

Knowledge:

1.    Experience with container technologies (Podman, Docker, CRI-O)
2.    Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing) 3.    Experience with open-source monitoring and logging tools 4.    Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices 5.    Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 6.    Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) 7.    Knowledge of GitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux) 8.    Scripting skills (Bash, Python) 9.    Experience with security tools (SELinux, OAuth, OPA, Vault) 10.    Exposure to OpenShift Operators, Service Mesh, or Serverless

Required Skills:

1.    Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift
2.    Strong Linux system administration skills 3.    Proficiency in  Kubernetes architecture and components

Responsibilities:

1.    Install, configure, administer, and upgrade Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
2.    Manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads 3.    Administer Linux systems (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) 4.    Monitor platform health, performance, and capacity 5.    Manage user access, RBAC, security policies, and compliance 6.    Configure networking (routes, services, ingress, load balancers, DNS) 7.    Manage persistent storage (PV/PVC, CSI drivers, Ceph, NFS, SAN) 8.    Troubleshoot OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux, and application issues 9.    Implement automation using Ansible, GitOps, and CI/CD tools 10.    Support developers with container builds, deployments, and scaling 11.    Manage and support open-source tools such as Git, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Apache, Nginx, MySQL/PostgreSQL 12.    Maintain documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks
