A Zonal Manager is responsible for overseeing sales operations within a specific geographical zone to achieve revenue targets by developing and implementing sales strategies, managing and motivating a Dealer’s team, and building strong relationships with dealers. Key responsibilities include setting sales targets, monitoring market trends, cooperating with the Sales department, and ensuring the team meets performance goals through training and guidance.
Core responsibilities -
· Develop and implement strategic sales plans for the zone, aligning them with overall company objectives.
· Set and monitor sales targets, providing guidance to the team to ensure they are met or exceeded.
· Lead, mentor, and train the sales team. This includes recruiting, setting performance goals, and conducting performance reviews.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key dealer’s and investors within the zone.
· Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviour to identify new business opportunities and inform strategy.
· Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and budgets to senior management.
· Work with other departments, such as Sales & marketing, to develop promotional campaigns and ensure smooth execution of sales initiatives.
Key skills and qualifications -
· Typically requires 5+ years of sales management experience.
· Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a sales team.
· Strong business development skills and a track record of achieving sales targets.
Salary – 25k to 30k per month
