Open Source Intelligence Specialist

Role Overview: You will be part of the Security team at Google, focusing on creating and maintaining a secure operating environment for users and developers. As a Security Engineer, your responsibilities will include working with network equipment, monitoring systems for attacks, and collaborating with software engineers to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities. Key Responsibilities: - Collect, evaluate, escalate, and disseminate intelligence to support action plans based on credibility and likelihood. - Provide intelligence support to the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) in incident response, crisis management, and global travel management. - Utilize open source material to research and assess information that could pose a potential concern to Google, its employees, and interests. - Assist in developing protocols and practices to assess and mitigate issues, improve efficiency, and manage crises effectively. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 5 years of experience in law enforcement, intelligence, military role, or equivalent private sector experience. - Experience in open source intelligence. - Understanding of threat types, global geopolitical trends, and emerging risks. - Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy. - Proven ability to take initiative, build cross-functional relationships, think critically, solve problems, and make decisions. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.,
