Role Overview: As an OIPA Developer at Equisoft, you will report to the Director, Architecture and Systems Integration. You will work closely with a team consisting of a Project Manager, a Business Analyst, a Team Lead, Developers, and QAS. In this role, you will develop superior analytical skills, gain insurance industry expertise, learn valuable programming concepts, and become familiar with relational databases. Key Responsibilities: - Perform configuration development and release management for the Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) system - Maintain and grow insurance industry and technical knowledge competencies - Collaborate with the configuration team, technical team, and business analysts to ensure the OIPA system is configured to achieve the system behavior defined by the business requirements - Participate in self-directed learning, specifically in configuration syntax and Insurance Business Knowledge - Analyze and resolve basic problems to maintain data integrity, process integrity, and system performance - Work in a client service context, involving client interactions at various levels - Must be available to work between 7:30 am to 11 pm depending on the project Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent job experience - 1-3 years of experience working with the OIPA platform, equivalent job experience, or in the insurance field - Strong analytical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills - Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail - Familiarity with XML, SQL, relational/entity databases, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Visio) - Understanding of system design and development processes - Strong English written and oral communication skills Additional Company Details: Equisoft is a global provider of advanced insurance and investment digital solutions.
