Officer - Reconciliation & Proofing Analyst

As an Officer, Reconciliation & Proofing Analyst at Citi, you will have the opportunity to shape your career in a dynamic and supportive environment. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Working on shifting schedules covering US & UK time zones - Conducting daily reconciliation of general ledger balances to the sub-ledger - Preparing reconciliation packages and identifying/clearing accounting exceptions - Analyzing recurring issues and contributing to process improvements - Monitoring the status of aged breaks on balance sheet accounts - Applying sound judgement in applying accounting principles to reconciliations - Effectively communicating with team members, management, and business partners - Responding to Balance Sheet Substantiation team requests for information - Ensuring financial reporting deadlines are met - Participating in and/or leading projects as assigned - Assessing risk and demonstrating ethical judgment in business decisions To excel in this role, you will ideally possess the following qualifications: - Bachelor's or University degree - 5-7 years of relevant experience in account reconciliation, Finance, or Operations in a financial institution - CPA or commensurate local accreditation - Experience in accounting, with experience in the financial services sector being a plus - Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other comprehensive basis of accounting At Citi, you can expect access to resources for your physical and mental well-being, learning and development opportunities, and programs to help you balance work and life.
