Officer, Quality Assurance

Your role overview is to ensure compliance to Herbalife requirements and global procedures in Quality assurance and control during the manufacturing, storage, and transportation of Herbalife raw and packing material from RM Vendor to Contract manufacturing location in India. Reporting directly to the Manager, Supplier Quality, you will be based in Bangalore and responsible for various QA activities on-site. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor vendor processes on set frequencies to ensure compliance with Herbalife Quality procedure requirements - Conduct periodic audits of the facility and operations associated with Herbalife Raw and Packing Material to improve quality and hygiene standards - Communicate with Vendor/CM regularly for any changes in product processes impacting quality - Coordinate with Vendor for rejection/complaint handling, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement Corrective Actions Preventive Actions (CAPA) - Support Vendor in troubleshooting raw materials, packing materials, and process quality challenges to ensure defect-free supply - Conduct regular training sessions for Vendor team on updates in Quality requirements and procedure changes - Collate information for regular MIS and share periodic reports with the team - Participate in cross-functional improvement projects, meetings, and conferences - Test RM and PM, and participate in OOS investigation - Work on Continual Improvement projects for Vendor Quality Assurance and control Qualifications Required: - Education: Graduation or Post Graduation in Food Technology/Food Science/Pharma/other allied streams - Skills: Experience in Supplier/Vendor Quality Assurance, trained in Quality and/or Food Safety Management system implementation, knowledge of basic Quality control processes, proficiency in Microsoft Office, good communication skills - Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant field, preferably in Nutraceutical/Pharma/Food/Ayurveda industry Please note the additional details of the company have been omitted as they were not provided in the job description.
