As an Occupational Therapist at our company in Wayanad, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic programs to help individuals develop, recover, or maintain meaningful daily activities and life skills. Your strong clinical reasoning, communication skills, and client-centered approach will be essential for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Evaluate patients' physical, emotional, cognitive, and social conditions through observation and standardized assessments. - Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on each client's unique needs and abilities. - Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance fine motor skills, self-care abilities, cognitive functioning, and adaptive behaviors. - Instruct patients and caregivers on the use of adaptive equipment and techniques to promote independence. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals like physicians, physical therapists, and speech therapists. - Document patient progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust treatment plans as necessary. - Educate clients and families on strategies to enhance quality of life and prevent further injury or disability. - Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. - Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Kerala/India. - Experience is preferred but not always required; this position can be entry-level. - Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills: - Experience with pediatric, geriatric, mental health, or orthopedic populations. - Knowledge of assistive technology and ergonomic principles. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
