We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join the mental health team at Mind & Brain Hospital. The role involves providing expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to both inpatient and outpatient clients, while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, evidence-based mental healthcare. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations , diagnoses, and formulate individualized treatment plans. Manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions: mood disorders, psychosis, anxiety, substance abuse, personality disorders, etc. Prescribe medications with appropriate monitoring and risk assessment. Provide crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric care as needed. Inpatient & Outpatient Management Attend daily ward rounds and supervise inpatient care. Maintain regular OP consultations with proper follow-ups and documentation. Coordinate with the psychology and nursing teams for integrated patient care. Documentation & Legal Compliance Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records , prescriptions, case notes, and discharge summaries. Ensure compliance with Mental Healthcare Act 2017 and hospital policies. Complete medico-legal documentation when necessary. Team Collaboration Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists. Participate in case conferences, departmental meetings, and care planning. Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to junior doctors and interns. Patient & Family Engagement Educate patients and their families about illness, treatment, recovery, and medication compliance. Offer supportive counselling and manage expectations around long-term psychiatric care.
