Observability Engineer

As an Observability Engineer at our organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining observability solutions utilizing AWS and Dynatrace. With a focus on monitoring application performance and infrastructure health, you will collaborate closely with development and operations teams to define observability requirements and seamlessly integrate monitoring tools. Your role will involve developing and managing dashboards, alerts, and reports to offer valuable insights into system performance and user experience. In this role, troubleshooting complex issues by analyzing logs, metrics, and traces to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. You will also be expected to optimize existing monitoring frameworks to enhance visibility across cloud environments and applications. Keeping yourself updated on industry trends and best practices in observability, cloud technologies, and performance monitoring will be crucial in ensuring the effectiveness of our systems. To excel in this position, we require you to have at least 8 years of proven experience as an Observability Engineer or in a similar role with a strong focus on AWS services. Proficiency in utilizing Dynatrace for application performance monitoring and observability is essential. A solid understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, containers, and serverless computing is also required. Additionally, experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation tasks is preferred. Your problem-solving skills, especially under pressure in a fast-paced environment, will be vital in addressing challenges effectively. Furthermore, your strong communication skills will enable you to collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
