Job Description

The
(PICU/Pediatric/Emergency/OT/Gyneac) Nurse
is responsible for providing specialized care and treatment to patients within the assigned department, ensuring their safety, comfort, and medical well-being. • Evaluates and oversees the processes of the unit and suggests cost-control measures to the Unit Admin/Medical Director. • Provides round-the-clock nursing care to patients in the
(PICU/Pediatric/Emergency/OT/Gyneac)
department. • Takes rounds along with Duty Doctor/Consultants. • Assists physicians and consultants in medical procedures and treatments. • Formulates nursing plans and evaluates the effectiveness of care and treatments. • Dispatches blood samples and collects lab reports promptly. • Collaborates with nurses and doctors to provide quality patient care. • Has knowledge of the medical equipment used in the respective department (e.g., monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, surgical instruments, etc.). • Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in all appropriate formats and forms. • Allocates duty rosters to department staff and ensures they are uploaded into HR software for attendance and payroll processing. • Follows department-specific guidelines, regulations, and hospital standards. • Adheres strictly to hospital policies and procedures. • Should be able to handle medical emergencies arising in the
(PICU/Pediatric/Emergency/OT/Gyneac)
unit. • Educates patients and/or family members on care procedures, hygiene, and safety as applicable. • Trains and mentors junior nurses. • Displays patience, compassion, and a strong focus on patient care. • Offers emotional and practical support to patients and their families.
