Our Risk professionals possess advanced technical expertise and play a pivotal role in addressing various issues such as economic downturns and financial crime. They provide guidance to Barclays" business leaders, enabling them to make informed decisions. Through dedicated support services, Risk teams significantly impact Barclays" business clients by approving loans, managing investments, and assisting in financial recovery during challenging times. As part of the Risk team, you will be responsible for effectively managing credit risks within the designated portfolio of Industries and clients. This includes portfolio management, stress testing, and ensuring compliance with the bank's credit risk policies and internal control framework. Your key accountabilities will involve preparing annual credit reviews, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis of credit and counterparty risk, supporting credit officers in daily risk management activities, managing risk limit frameworks, and maintaining accurate information in the bank's Risk systems. Your role aims to support the day-to-day operations of the risk division by monitoring the bank's risk profile, identifying and managing risks, and providing insights to senior colleagues for informed decision-making. You will execute small research projects, prepare presentations and reports for senior management, collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in training programs, and contribute to risk management and decision-making through financial models and strategies. As an Analyst, you are expected to meet stakeholders" needs through specialist advice and support, perform tasks efficiently to a high standard, and may have specific responsibilities within a team. You will lead and supervise a team, guide professional development, allocate work requirements, and coordinate team resources.
