As a Node.js Developer at Gunpowder Innovations, you will primarily focus on backend development. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, designers, and product teams to create scalable APIs, manage cloud-based infrastructures, and at times, contribute to Flutter-based front end development. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working across the stack and are passionate about developing real-world solutions that directly impact users. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js. - Construct scalable, secure, and high-performance server-side applications. - Work in conjunction with frontend (Flutter) and product teams to define and deliver end-to-end solutions. - Optimize backend performance and database queries for enhanced speed and reliability. - Manage and integrate cloud-based services, primarily AWS, to support backend operations. - Occasionally engage in Flutter-based development for mobile/web applications, contributing to full-stack solutions. - Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices. Requirements: - Possess 3+ years of hands-on experience in Node.js development. - Demonstrated proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js frameworks such as Express.js. - Solid understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, and integration with frontend applications. - Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases. - Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, RDS, S3) and deploying backend applications in cloud environments. - Basic knowledge of Flutter and Dart to effectively collaborate with frontend teams. - Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and backend testing frameworks. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while actively contributing to a collaborative engineering team. Nice to Have: - Experience in building serverless applications, utilizing services like AWS Lambda and DynamoDB. - Knowledge of security best practices in backend and API development. - Exposure to fintech applications, compliance, and data protection requirements. - Previous experience working with complex databases and real-time data streams.
