About the Role:

Node.js

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of backend developers working on Node.js-based microservices.
• Architect and implement scalable solutions using

  Kafka

  for event-driven systems.
• Ensure seamless integration of

  PostgreSQL

  with Node.js applications.
• Guide the team in

  publishing and consuming Kafka topics

  , ensuring high throughput and reliability.
• Oversee the

  containerization of applications using Docker

  , including packaging and optimization.
• Manage Kubernetes deployments, including

  ConfigMaps

  ,

  Secrets

  , and

  Helm charts

  .
• Drive best practices in

  unit testing

  using

  Jest

  and ensure high code quality.
• Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Advocate for and implement

  software design principles

  and architectural best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of backend development experience with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong hands-on experience with

  Node.js

  and asynchronous programming.
• In-depth knowledge of

  Apache Kafka

  including topic management, producers/consumers, and stream processing.
• Proficient in

  PostgreSQL

  and its integration with Node.js.
• Experience in

  Dockerizing applications

  and managing container lifecycles.
• Solid understanding of

  Kubernetes

  – deployments, services, config management, and scaling.
• Familiarity with

  Jest

  or similar testing frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning new technologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have:

• Exposure to

  design patterns

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
