Job Title: Node.js Backend Engineer – Fintech APIs

About the Role:

Paywize is hiring a Backend Software Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js, Express.js/Nest.js,Microservices, and PostgreSQL. Join our fast-growing fintech team and build secure, scalable APIs powering mission-critical banking and payment services.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and maintain robust backend applications and services
• Develop secure, well-documented REST APIs
• Integrate with third-party services and banking APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on feature development
• Optimize for performance, security, and scalability
• Participate in code reviews and team learning

Requirements:

• 3+ years of backend development with Node.js
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), Express.js, PostgreSQL,Microservices
• Familiarity with Redis, REST APIs, and Git
• Experience with microservices, job queues, and rate limiting
• Strong debugging, testing, and documentation skills

Preferred:

• Experience in fintech or with payments/banking APIs
• Knowledge of Nest.js, RabbitMQ, Redis Streams, or Kafka
• Exposure to cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), PHP, or Golang is a plus
• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps best practices
