NestJS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services primarily using

  NestJS

  and

  TypeScript

  .
• Build and maintain event-driven microservices architectures.
• Manage containerized applications using

  Docker

  and orchestrate deployments with

  Kubernetes

  .
• Work extensively with

  SQL Server

  and

  Redis

  to support data persistence and caching needs.
• Configure and maintain complex local development environments to support effective development and testing.
• Follow well-defined coding standards, version control, and deployment workflows to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to meet project goals.
• Troubleshoot and optimize backend services for performance, scalability, and security.
• Document backend APIs, services, and infrastructure components.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of

  4 years

  of hands-on backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency with

  NestJS

  framework and

  TypeScript

  .
• Experience working with

  Docker

  and containerized development environments.
• Familiarity with

  Kubernetes

  for container orchestration and deployment.
• Experience with

  SQL Server

  and

  Redis

  .
• Proven experience developing and maintaining event-driven microservices.
• Comfortable working with complex local development setups.
• Ability to follow well-defined coding, testing, and deployment workflows independently.

Bonus Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience with

  C#

  and

  .NET Core

  development.
• Basic understanding of

  Blockchain architecture

  ,

  smart contracts

  , and the

  Ethereum ecosystem

  with backend integration experience (not developing smart contracts).
• Familiarity with

  Protocol Buffers (protoc)

  and

  gRPC

  for microservices communication.

Language Ability:

• Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation, correspondence, and instructions.
• Capable of writing clear technical documentation and moderately complex correspondence.
• Able to effectively communicate technical concepts and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Mathematical Ability:

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and computational tasks relevant to backend development and performance tuning.

Reasoning Ability:

• Skilled at diagnosing and resolving practical problems in backend systems and infrastructure.
• Able to interpret feedback from non-technical users and team members to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate implementation and documentation.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and workplace stressors effectively.

Computer Skills:

• Proficient with backend development tools, version control systems, containerization software, and relevant databases.
• Comfortable using collaboration and communication software such as Microsoft Office, web browsers, and issue tracking/CRM tools.
