Night Supervisor

Act as the senior-most medical and administrative authority during night hours.

Supervise overall hospital operations, ensuring smooth functioning of clinical and non-clinical departments.

Serve as the on-call doctor responsible for managing patient care and emergencies at night.

Guide duty doctors, nurses, and emergency staff on critical clinical decisions.

Intervene in complex or medico-legal cases (MLC) and provide expert medical support.

Monitor patient conditions in ICU, HDU, Emergency, and in-patient wards for escalations.

Ensure timely admission, transfer, and discharge processes during the night shift.

Handle patient and relative grievances with empathy and professionalism.

Manage crowd control, disputes, or mob violence with support from hospital security.

Coordinate with police or external authorities in case of medico-legal or violent incidents.

Oversee functioning of Emergency, Wards, ICU, Diagnostics, Billing, and Admissions.

Ensure bed availability, oxygen levels, medicines, and critical medical equipment are adequate.

Supervise security staff to ensure patient, visitor, and employee safety.

Enforce visitor control policies in sensitive areas like ICU and Emergency.

Address incidents of violence, theft, or unauthorized entry swiftly and effectively.

Conduct hospital night rounds to check hygiene, infection control, and waste management.

Supervise housekeeping staff and ensure cleanliness in all wards, corridors, and ICUs.

Verify functioning of generators, UPS, lifts, oxygen plants, and other critical infrastructure.

Coordinate with engineering or maintenance teams to resolve technical issues promptly.

Record all night shift activities, including patient cases, staff attendance, and incidents.

Submit detailed handover notes and incident reports to the morning shift team.

Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, SOPs, and patient safety guidelines.

Provide leadership, discipline, and guidance to all night shift staff.

Manage crisis situations effectively with quick decision-making and strong judgment.

Maintain professional communication with patients, relatives, and hospital staff at all times.
