Summary As the Associate Director Logistics Supply Chain, you will have responsibility to capture and scope DDIT demands from business and collaborate with other DDIT functions to ensure quality and compliant services are delivered to stakeholders in the supply chain and manufacturing labeling area. You will be accountable for successful delivery and operations of standardized DDIT solutions for the Novartis Supply Chain Logistics - focused on labeling capability aligned with the business strategy and global DDIT Strategy. In this role you will ensure on time, within budget, compliant, secure, and quality delivery of portfolio for the function area (supply chain and manufacturing labeling) according to the projects and programs assigned. You will contribute to obtaining data on the latest demand for DDIT services in your respective area, their evaluation, and provision of support with prioritization, and leadership of the project implementation for the unit, from initiation to operational support. You will have the responsibility to align with the other DDIT teams and the business function as needed to help ensuring that the expectations regarding DDIT services are fulfilled. Engage with global business leaders and leverage the appropriate technology teams to determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and add value. About The Role Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead initiatives to identify opportunities in the labeling area, gather requirements and work directly with customer teams to identify and develop business cases and ensure business sponsorship Partner with senior business stakeholders and DDIT Strategic Business Partners for demand analysis, solution proposal, evaluation, and funding estimates Be a partner with Business Logistics leads, business process owners and other SC key stakeholders in all aspects for IT solutions in scope of SC Logistics.- Labeling area Partner with other IT functions to ensure delivery of products according to the strategy. Ensure on time, within budget, compliant, secure, and quality delivery of portfolio for responsible function / service area (Labeling) Responsible for the implementation of the labeling solutions by providing technical expertise (architectural knowledge and coding skills). Establish governance structure for projects and operations with the right stakeholder representation Reporting in DDIT Director Operations SC Logistics, partnering with peers, global business process owners and other SC key stakeholders in all aspects for IT solutions in scope of SC Logistics Oversee and manage end-to-end Logistics application support services to operations Ensure that Business requirements and objectives in area of Supply Chain Logistics are enabled by global IT standard solutions Identify and manage risks in relation to DDIT Services underpinning business processes Take accountability to ensure adherence to Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Service Delivery and Operations scope Leverage technology solutions and automation tools to enhance logistics processes in labeling (supply chain and manufacturing) and drive continuous improvement. Ensure DDIT investments and services for customer group are aligned with business requirements and DDIT strategy What You’ll Bring To The Role University degree in business, computer science, information technology discipline or other equivalent degree At least 10 years of experience in information technology with 3–5 labeling project implementations. Expert understanding of technology and methodologies as applied in the respective area (Architectural expertise in Teklynx, Seagull Scientific, Codesoft, Sentinel, and BarTender Enterprise Automation; Experience with GS1 barcoding and integration with SAP, MES, and warehouse systems, other labeling solutions in the market (Loftware, Nicelabel, etc.) Strong coding skills (preferably AutoIT) Excellent understanding of supply chain processes mainly in the Logistics area (Distribution and Warehouse) Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, senior management, manage issues, resolve conflicts, and mitigate risks. Analytical, process-oriented with a keen interest to drive continuous improvements Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence. Experience in leading projects, managing diverse group of stakeholders Excellent knowledge of English language (written and spoken) Flexibility to work in a fast paced, quickly changing work environment Ability to operate in a global matrix environment Desirable Requirements Experience with ERP implementations in a large, multi-national environment with strong business process acumen, with focus on business processes enabled in ERP platforms Experience in leading large-scale projects managing diverse group of stakeholders Understanding of IT and business domain processes in validated environments (GxP) For this role, we are seeking candidates with demonstrated exposure to the labeling technology/industry. Job Description Job Purpose As part of the development team supporting a global Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) rollout, the Output Document Developer will be responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining labels and output documents used across the programme. Working closely with the Systems Integrator (SI), this role will play a key part in the creation, testing, and implementation of new documents and labels, ensuring their accuracy, consistency, and functionality within the D365 environment. The developer will take ownership of production support and change management for these outputs, ensuring ongoing performance and reliability post go-live. Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the SI partner to design, configure, and develop output documents and label formats required by the global D365 programme. Build and maintain document and label templates using Lasernet and NiceLabel, ensuring alignment with business and localisation requirements. Support testing and validation of output documents across multiple environments, including UAT and production. Manage ongoing changes and enhancements to documents and labels based on user feedback, change requests, or evolving business needs. Provide operational support and troubleshooting for document and label-related issues in the production environment. Gain and maintain a good understanding of the underlying D365 and infrastructure setup (e.g. print services, connectors, integrations) to assist in effective issue resolution. Ensure documentation, version control, and deployment procedures are followed for all developments and updates. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business analysts, testers, and technical leads, to ensure successful delivery and transition of outputs into live environments. Maintain close communication with the SI and other third-party providers to align timelines, resolve defects, and ensure technical quality. Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours, including aligning with the working hours of overseas sites will be required during key project phases or deployments Qualifications Essential Hands-on experience in document and label development using Lasernet, NiceLabel, or similar platforms. Experience working in or supporting ERP environments, ideally with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Understanding of document output processes and integration with ERP systems. Experience working in a collaborative, multi-vendor programme environment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially across printing, formatting, and data mapping issues. Familiarity with source control and deployment processes in structured development environments. Ability to document processes and changes clearly for audit and operational continuity. Desirable Prior experience supporting global or multi-site rollouts. Basic understanding of D365 architecture and infrastructure components (e.g. print management, workflows, role-based access). Exposure to development processes (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines). Knowledge of SQL, XML, or other data formatting and scripting languages.
