News Intern

This role is a fully hybrid internship role. You will be working as a News Content Writer Intern in the Content team and cover news that break throughout the day

What you'll do:

1. Write high-quality news briefs across the national, international, business, and tech news

2. Edit and fact-check the work of peers using Startup Story's editing marks and processes

3. Track news across various channels to handpick the most important and consequential stories

What we're looking for:

Three specific skills

1) Best-in-class writing and command over the English language

2) Very high interest in the news. You will eat, sleep and breathe news.

3) Prior work experience in any news media organization

The ideal candidate will be someone out of journalism school with 0-1 year of experience.

Training period: 4-6 months

• This is a full-time, hybrid internship position
• Working days: 6 days a week, with rotating weekends which will be changed every 2 months
• Stipend 6-8k, After training PPO (CTC will be between 3 LPA-4.5 LPA +10% variable)
