New Product Launch Manager

Role Overview: As the Operations NPL Manager at Schaeffler, you will lead and manage a new development project within the operations to ensure project time, budget, and functionality goals are met. Your experience and background will allow you to coach and guide less experienced NPL Managers. You will play a crucial role in developing the Manufacturing Concept based on product architecture and requirements, coordinating project activities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure detailed and realistic project plans are provided according to the schedule for in-time delivery of committed deliverables. - Report project status on timing, quality, and risk to the Group Leader. - Schedule, manage, and communicate multiple project activities between team members to ensure on-time completion. - Develop the Manufacturing Concept based on product architecture and requirements, aligning them with production processes and technologies. - Drive the Cross-Functional Team (CFT) and report project status to Management. - Responsible for completion of activities within operations to meet specific cost, timing, and quality requirements as directed by the Project Manager. - Immediately communicate any delays, problems, or risks regarding operations activities to the Project Manager. - Evaluate team members" performance and actively manage resources on the project. - Oversee the implementation of equipment and processes necessary for the product. - Lead coordination and alignment of multiple locations in case of a launch. - Drive the team to deliver quality results and maintain line performance. - Responsible for reaching targeted KPIs in processes and driving continuous improvement. - Provide technical support, capability improvement, standardized work, problem-solving, and process support. - Implement preventive and corrective measures for quality, equipment availability, and cost improvement. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics) or related field. - Proficiency in English, Hindi, and preferably Marathi languages. - Approximately 10 years of experience with Automotive Quality standards. - Practical understanding of lean manufacturing, six sigma, TPM, electromechanics, automation, and process-specific knowledge.
