Job Description

You will be a part of the Data Center Network Services team in Cisco IT, responsible for supporting network services for Cisco Engineering and business functions globally. Your primary objective will be to build an adaptable and agile network of the future utilizing Cisco's Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), a software-defined networking solution. The deployment, monitoring, and management of ACI will follow a DevOps approach to facilitate rapid application changes. Embracing transformative technologies is key to delivering services in a fast and reliable manner. Your role will involve designing, developing, testing, and deploying SDN capabilities within the Data Center Network. Collaboration with fellow engineers across various disciplines and internal clients is essential. Your innovative and high-quality capabilities will ensure the best possible experience for our clients. You will work closely with a dedicated team of IT networking professionals who are committed to operational excellence. As the ideal candidate, you should hold a Bachelor of Engineering or Technology degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, deploying, operating, and managing scalable DC network infrastructure. Your proficiency should include strong skills in DC network technology, with hands-on experience in Python and Ansible. Managing and supporting large-scale DC networking technologies should be within your expertise. Additionally, experience in technologies such as Routing, switching, SDN / ACI, Nexus, VPC, VDC, Fabric Path, VLAN, VXLAN, Local load balancer, Global load balancer, application Firewall, and more is required. You should have a working knowledge of HW/Platform including Nexus, Cisco IOS, Cisco ASR, Citrix/AVI Load Balancers, and a high-level understanding of private/public cloud. Experience in incident, problem, and change management is necessary, along with familiarity with DevOps principles, Agile practices, software engineering, and basic understanding of Unix/Linux. Basic knowledge in areas like Docker Container, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, Apache, SSO, Flask, Code coverage, and RestFull API is beneficial. Holding a CCNA certification is mandatory, while CCNP or CCIE certification would be a plus.
