Network Security

As a Network Security L2 Engineer at our Pune office, you will play a crucial role in managing, monitoring, and supporting enterprise-level network security infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include: - Monitoring and managing firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other network security devices. - Performing Level-2 troubleshooting for security incidents, alerts, and network-related issues. - Analyzing threat intelligence and taking appropriate action on security alerts and vulnerabilities. - Working on firewall rule changes, policy configuration, and access control reviews. - Coordinating with the L1 team for escalated issues and providing root cause analysis. - Applying security patches and updates to security infrastructure devices. - Maintaining documentation related to network configurations and incident reports. - Participating in audits and ensuring adherence to security compliance standards such as ISO, PCI-DSS, etc. To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. - 3-5 years of experience in network security operations or a similar role. - Hands-on experience with firewalls such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA, etc. - Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols. - Familiarity with SIEM tools like Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight. - Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, etc. is a plus. - Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred certifications for this role include Fortinet NSE 4/5, Palo Alto PCNSE, Cisco CCNP Security, CompTIA Security+, CEH, or any other relevant security certification.
