Job Description

As a Firewall Ruleset Reviewer, your primary responsibility will be to review and approve firewall requests in accordance with the organization's risk appetite. You will need to analyze firewall rules, ensuring their effectiveness and alignment with security best practices. It will be crucial for you to oversee the recertification of all firewall rules within the specified timeframe. Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying and assigning owners to unclaimed rules and updating relevant information accordingly. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct reviews of firewall rulesets and verify rule compliance reports from automated firewall review solutions. - Collaborate with stakeholders to manage ACL rulesets by adding, updating, removing, and optimizing rules to eliminate defunct or duplicate entries. - Follow the change management process for creating, modifying, or removing rules with the necessary approvals. - Document all firewall rule changes thoroughly, including the rationale for the change, change details, requester information, and timestamp of the change. - Regularly assess existing firewall rules for necessity and suitability, removing outdated or redundant rules and making adjustments as needed. Qualifications Required: - 16 to 20 years of experience in setting up, configuring, and managing various firewall devices like Palo Alto, F5, Zscaler, Cisco ISE, Azure, and DDoS solutions. - Strong background in Network Architecture with proficiency in designing and developing architecture frameworks. - Experience in creating High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents, managing end-to-end delivery, and possessing excellent communication skills. - Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities, along with effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. - Holding certifications such as CISSP, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or CISM would be advantageous for this role.,
