Network Design and Planning: Develops and implements network architectures that meet current and future business requirements. Designs, implements, and manages data communication networks, including LANs, WANs, intranets, and other data communications systems. Cisco Meraki Palo Alto Firewall Prisma Access Firewall Prisma SDWAN Performs network planning, modeling, and analysis, including capacity planning. Creates documentation for network designs and deployments. Technology Selection and Implementation: Selects appropriate hardware, software, and protocols for the network infrastructure. Oversees the installation and implementation of computer network systems. Ensures that network components are integrated effectively. Network Security: Designs and implements network security measures to protect sensitive data and systems. Collaborates with security specialists to ensure network security. Network Performance and Optimization: Monitors network performance and identifies areas for improvement. Troubleshoots network issues and implements solutions. Analyzes data traffic and system performance to determine future upgrades. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborates with other IT professionals, including network engineers, system administrators, and security specialists. Communicates network designs and strategies to stakeholders. Staying Current: Keeps abreast of the latest network technologies and trends. Researches and recommends new technologies and solutions. Mentoring and Leadership: May mentor junior network engineers or architects. May lead network projects and teams.
