Job Title: Network Engineer About Zanskar Securities: Established in 2022, Zanskar Securities is a leading systematic proprietary trading firm, specializing in market-making algorithms across a diverse range of asset classes in capital markets worldwide. As a SEBI-registered stockbroker, we cater to retail brokers, regional and central banks, and institutional investors. Our services extend beyond liquidity provisioning to include fund administration services under our ancillary service license. These services encompass investor onboarding, fund accounting, structuring, compliance, and advisory on financial setups. Operating from our head office in Bangalore and a strategic office in GIFT City, we are pioneers in the industry, supported by a dynamic team of 22-25 professionals. Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer with experience in the stock broking industry to manage our colocation infrastructure and coordinate with various vendors. This role requires hands-on expertise in troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing network performance in a production and live trading environment. Responsibilities: Maximize network performance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and timely upgrades to optimize network functionality. Provide hands-on support for production issues related to colocation/trading infrastructure, office networks, and data center environments. Manage and administer firewall environments, including VPN configurations (IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, Site-to-Site VPN) and security protocols (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto). Ensure the stability of data network equipment by upgrading firmware and implementing the latest stable releases. Support Linux-based servers in live trading environments, including hardware changes, software installations, and upgrades. Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues, including Multicast routing, PIM, IGMP protocols, VLANs, BGP, and other routing protocols. Collaborate with vendors for effective management of colocation infrastructure and third-party services. Assist in network monitoring and maintain high availability for trading operations. Work on Linux systems, including scripting (Shell/Python) and network monitoring tools. Qualifications and Experience: Required : Prior experience in the stock broking industry managing colocation infrastructure and vendors. Engineering degree in Computer Science or a related field. 0-3 years of relevant experience in network engineering or IT infrastructure. Certifications: CCNP/CCNA in Routing & Switching . Hands-on experience in Routing & Switching protocols (VLANs, VTP, STP, EtherChannel, Layer 3, BGP, Static & Dynamic Routing). Strong knowledge of Firewall and Security, VPNs, and Multicast routing protocols. Experience working with monitoring tools in a financial services environment. Knowledge of Linux systems, including Shell/Python scripting. Exposure to AWS or cloud environments is an advantage. Strong ability to work under pressure and manage multiple high-priority projects. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
