Job Description

Job Description: As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing Cisco Meraki and Fortinet solutions, as well as implementing and managing Network Monitoring Systems (NMS). Your key responsibilities will include: - Deploying, configuring, and managing Meraki MX, MR, MS, and MV solutions. - Administering the Meraki Dashboard for network-wide monitoring, policy enforcement, and troubleshooting. - Optimizing SD-WAN performance and ensuring reliable remote site connectivity. - Supporting deployment of 802.1X authentication and certificate-based authentication for wireless users with Cisco Meraki. - Configuring and managing FortiGate firewalls, VPNs (IPSec, SSL), and FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer. - Implementing and managing UTM features (antivirus, web filtering, application control, IPS) with Fortinet. - Performing firewall policy tuning, upgrades, high availability (HA), and rule audits for Fortinet products. - Implementing and managing monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, ManageEngine, or Zabbix. - Configuring thresholds, SNMP traps, NetFlow/sFlow monitoring, and reporting dashboards for NMS. - Proactively monitoring network health and capacity for future planning. - Troubleshooting outages, performance issues, and security incidents. - Maintaining updated network documentation and following change control processes. - Collaborating with IT security and system teams for integrated infrastructure management. - Participating in on-call rotations and providing Level 2/3 support as needed. - Closing SOC incidents reported via dashboards (e.g., Splunk). - Creating and maintaining network architecture diagrams using Microsoft Visio. Qualifications Required: To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience: - Proven hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki (Dashboard, AutoVPN, SD-WAN). - Strong knowledge and practical experience with Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiManager). - Experience in deploying and managing NMS tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, ManageEngine, Zabbix). - Solid understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing (OSPF, BGP), NAT, QoS. - Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is an added advantage. Please note that the skills required for this role include proficiency in Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, NMS tools, and Microsoft Visio.,
