Network Engineer L1

We are looking for a motivated and proactive L1 Network Engineer to be part of the BOI WiFi Project. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in monitoring, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, and wireless devices. This role requires good communication, flexibility, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Monitor, install, and configure network devices routers, switches, WiFi access points, and wireless devices.
  
• Provide L1 support and troubleshooting to resolve network issues promptly.
  
• Configure and deploy network services including NAT, VLANs, etc.
  
• Conduct regular network maintenance, upgrades, patches, and security configuration.
  
• Monitor critical parameters: interface status, bandwidth, resource utilization, and link status.
  
• Perform end-to-end routing and switching route checks.
  
• Incident and problem management track, coordinate, and resolve issues while identifying root causes.
  
• Maintain adherence to change management and network configuration standards.
  
• Create and maintain network documentation.
  

Required Skills:

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of
  routing and switching.
• Experience in L1-level troubleshooting and network device configuration.
  
• Familiarity with tools for monitoring network performance and usage.
  
• Good communication and presentation skills.
  
• Strong client handling and stakeholder engagement skills.
  
• Flexible to work in a 24x7 environment as per project requirements.
  
• Adaptable, good listener, and willing to take on challenges.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.Sc in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field
  
• Certifications like

  CCNA

  (preferred but not mandatory)
