Network Engineer

Job Summary:

• Configure and manage

  Fortinet Firewalls

  including load balancing, bandwidth control, DMZ, and LAN security.
• Design and maintain

  VPN site-to-site tunnels

  for secure communication (voice/data).
• Implement and manage

  load balancing and BGP-based routing

  for WAN redundancy.
• Coordinate with

  Fortinet and Cisco

  support teams for advanced configurations and troubleshooting.
• Monitor, implement, and review

  firewall policies

  ensuring compliance with security standards.
• Administer and troubleshoot

  Cisco Wireless Controllers

  and

  Meraki Access Points

  .
• Resolve performance and connectivity issues using relevant monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Design and deploy Wi-Fi solutions aligned with firewall security policies for new campus setups.
• Migrate legacy systems to

  Dell VX Rail

  ,

  VMware

  , and

  CentOS-based virtualized environments

  .
• Set up and manage servers (DNS, DHCP, FTP, NTP, Tally, Ghost) in Linux/Windows environments.
• Manage virtual machines and resources through

  VCenter

  .
• Plan and implement

  LAN/WAN architectures

  across academic blocks, hostels, and campus buildings.
• Supervise the installation and maintenance of

  fiber optic backbone

  and L2/L3 switches.
• Perform firmware and IOS upgrades/downloads using TFTP.
• Prepare

  BOQ, BOM, and technical documentation

  for network expansion and upgrade projects
• Liaise with

  Fortinet, Cisco, Dell, and F5

  for procurement and technical support.
• Collaborate with

  ISPs

  to troubleshoot WAN link issues and maintain service uptime.
• Support TCS and other partners for

  online exam platforms

  and scheduled events.
• Lead installation teams for deploying

  LAN infrastructure

  in labs and academic spaces.
• Develop and update

  network diagrams

  ,

  topologies

  , and

  documentation

  using MS Visio.
• Proactively

  monitor IT services

  and resolve issues through remote management tools.

Qualifications:

• Minimum

  4-6 years

  of experience in network administration or IT infrastructure management.
