Responsibilities

This position involves supporting global network operations, ensuring optimal performance, implementing security policies, and leading high-impact network projects to modernize and enhance our infrastructure.

Qualifications

5+ years
of
relevant hands-on Network Engineering experience
in medium-to-large enterprise environments.
Strong troubleshooting skills
with the ability to
analyze and resolve complex network issues across all OSI layers.
Experience designing and supporting
Cisco ISE and 802.1X authentication
(wired and wireless).
Proficiency with
Cisco DNA Center
for network automation, monitoring, and policy enforcement.
Hands-on experience with
Cisco Catalyst 9300, 9500, and Nexus series switches
(including VSS, Stacking, STP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
Deep knowledge of
Cisco ASA, Meraki Firewalls & SD-WAN, and VPN solutions (Remote Access & Site-to-Site).
Familiarity with
network security principles, segmentation, firewall rule management, and NAC policies.
Hands-on expertise with
Wireless (Meraki, Cisco WLC), DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, SSH, SMTP, and SNMP monitoring tools.
Experience with
network monitoring tools
(e.g.,
OpManager
,
SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco ThousandEyes, Splunk, or similar
).
Ability to work independently and take ownership
of tasks/projects
without needing micromanagement.
Must have a

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

Experience with
ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
Industry certifications:
CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS, JNCIA (or equivalent).
Hands-on experience with
Cisco Nexus ACI, VXLAN, and Data Center networking.
Experience with
Meraki Wireless, SD-WAN, and Infoblox DNS management.
Cloud networking experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Familiarity with
network automation tools (Python, Ansible).

The role will focus heavily on

day-to-day operations

, and the engineer will be handling a high volume of tasks, including:

Incident tickets
triaging and resolving operational network issues
Change requests
assisting with planning, documentation, and execution
Vendor ticket follow-ups
ensuring timely resolution and communication
Monitoring and response
proactive network monitoring and alert handling
Process improvements
assisting with network hygiene, documentation, and automation opportunities
Support on projects
contributing to both large and small projects with specific technical tasks
