NetSuite QA Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated NetSuite QA.

The NetSuite QA will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our NetSuite ERP system through rigorous testing and validation processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, experience with NetSuite, and excellent analytical skills.

• Experience in all level of testing (Unit, CRP, UAT) with an holistic testing approach
• Ability to gather information from Business and document the same
• After Go Live NetSuite Support experience
• Support end users in all business functions, in the use of Netsuite ERP application relating to scripts, workflows, saved searches and other ad-hoc configuration setups
• Manage tasks related to ERP administration, improvements, upgrades and enhancements
• Be able to clearly articulate As-Is with To-Be business needs and be able to educate users on Netsuite system functionality/features and help bridge the gap on processes as needed
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their business requirements, informational needs and data sources, conduct requirements gathering sessions, meetings and presentations
• Translate business needs into a clearly defined and detailed business requirements document, inclusive of business use cases, process flows, traceability matrices as well as report mock-ups
• Document and analyze current business processes and underlying systems/applications
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with technical staff and business users
• Test Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and technical requirements. Execute manual and automated tests to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of the NetSuite system.
• Defect Management: Identify, record, and track defects and issues within the NetSuite system. Work closely with developers and business analysts to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• System Integration Testing: Verify the integration of NetSuite with other systems and applications. Ensure data consistency and accuracy across integrated systems.
• Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new features and updates do not negatively impact existing functionality. Continuously improve and expand regression test suites.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test results, and defect reports. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Participate in agile development processes and provide input on improving QA practices.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on NetSuite or other ERP systems.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in QA methodologies and tools. Experience with test automation tools and scripting languages. Strong understanding of NetSuite architecture and modules.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to identify, isolate, and document defects accurately and efficiently.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Certifications: NetSuite certifications (e.g., NetSuite Administrator, NetSuite ERP Consultant) are a plus.
