Strong understanding of OOP, software design patterns, and best engineering practices.
Familiarity with financial data formats and standards:
ISO 20022 (preferred for modern payment rails)
SWIFT MT (MT103, MT202)
Proprietary CSV / Bank-specific XML for file exchange
EDI/SFTP for secure data transfer
Basic exposure to Angular, Python, or Java (not required, but an advantage).
Understanding of QA tools and processes (API testing, load testing, security testing).
Prior experience working with financial institutions or payment systems.
