NDT LEVEL-2 Technician

As an MS Pipe NDT Engineer, your role involves planning and conducting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on Mild Steel (MS) pipes using methods such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT), among others. You will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting radiography films, UT results, and other NDT reports to assess weld and material integrity. It is essential to prepare and maintain NDT documentation, inspection reports, and ensure the traceability of records. Your coordination with fabrication and welding teams will be crucial in scheduling inspections and explaining identified defects or corrective actions. Compliance with relevant NDT codes, standards, and client specifications is a key aspect during testing and evaluation. Supporting third-party inspections and client audits by presenting NDT reports and explaining procedures will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will need to maintain and calibrate NDT equipment and tools according to manufacturer guidelines. Training and guiding site teams and welders on NDT requirements, acceptance criteria, and common quality issues are also essential.
