Naval Architect

Position: Naval Architect (Full-Time) Key Responsibilities: Provide design-to-production support for ongoing boat manufacturing Review and optimize construction drawings and production plans Perform structural analysis, weight distribution, and stability checks Coordinate with workshop, quality control, and regulatory bodies (IRS, KIV, IWT, etc.) Assist in material selection and hull construction oversight Ensure compliance with classification society standards and client specifications Participate in trials and site installations Eligibility Criteria: B.Tech / M.Tech in Naval Architecture or Ocean Engineering 26 years of experience in small/medium craft design and boatyard coordination Hands-on experience with FRP/Aluminium boat construction preferred Proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, or Maxsurf Familiar with regulatory codes: IRS / KIV / IWT / DGS Excellent understanding of production drawings, scantling plans, and GA drawings Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams Profile at Sunny Boats: Exciting projects in electric boats, catamarans, patrol vessels, floating docks Learning opportunity across design, production, and site operations Work with experts from DRDO, marine R&D, and private shipyards Competitive salary + performance bonus + growth opportunities
