Job Title: National Manager EHS Function: Operations Years of Experience: 15 - 20 yoe Department: Environment Health Safety Location: Wada / Bangalore / Chennai / Vizag Reports to: VP Operations Education (Preferred Degree): Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety MSC in Environmental Science BE in Chemical / Mechanical Engineer Role & responsibilities EHS culture & compliance is the top most priority for the business, the incumbent would facilitate, influence & promote the same by closely working with all internal stakeholders. Plays a key role in facilitating the implementation of SG Groups EHS Management System and Standards across the Manufacturing Plants. Proactively advices the Leadership Team on matters of Environment, Health & Safety Standards, Compliance & Implications. Would network with peers in Saint-Gobain Group within India and overseas, bench mark the level of EHS Compliance and bring in best practices for enhancing standards Would review & facilitate implementation of SOPs, Processes & Practices by closely working with all internal stakeholders - Plant Heads, Heads of Departments & EHS Team. • Would look at Cutting Edge Technology/ AI / Automation for driving preventive measures & interventions to mitigate potential Hazards arising out of the manufacturing operations or human behavior. • Would liaise with senior Govt. Authorities, External Agencies & represent the Company at various external forms. • Drive & guide implementation of management programs as per IMS manual. Review & guide EHS annual plan by closely working with Plant Heads, HODs & EHS Teams Will be the Custodian and responsible for Legal compliance pertaining to EHS. Audit construction safety as per Std. 22 both at brown field & green field projects and its compliance. • Plan and review together with the operations team for sustenance & improvement of ISA EHS Audit score. Mentor & train the EHS team for driving & ensuring high level of EHS Standard Compliance Would review & guide the relevant internal stake holders on the following : a) Identification of workplace hazards & risk mitigation b) Accident investigation and analysis of all workplace injuries and take necessary corrective actions. c) Monitoring of Industrial Hygiene parameters e.g. Chemical Exposure, Noise, Heat Stress, Indoor air Quality in various workplaces. d) Ergonomic Assessments in physical stress prone areas & adequate corrective measures. e) Regular Monitoring of PTW system in day to day activities and support operation team in the same. f) Organizing & conducting EHS training program for all category of employees. g) Conduct periodical safety audits, On-Site Emergency Plan drills, EHS committee meetings as per the schedule. h) Coordination with Loss Prevention survey team from XL GAPS (Insurance Company) for audits and closing of the audit points
