MySQL Database Administrator

As a MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) at our tech team in Hyderabad, you will play a crucial role in managing high-performance MySQL environments with a strong emphasis on clustering, replication, and high availability. Your responsibilities will include designing, deploying, and maintaining MySQL databases, configuring and managing MySQL clusters for optimum availability, monitoring performance to address bottlenecks, setting up automated backups and disaster recovery plans, optimizing SQL queries and schema designs, and collaborating with developers to ensure efficient data structures and queries. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring database security, data integrity, and compliance with best practices while maintaining clear documentation of configurations and procedures. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of hands-on experience as a MySQL DBA, specifically in clustering (InnoDB or Galera) and MySQL replication. You should possess a deep understanding of MySQL replication, strong SQL skills, experience with performance tuning and query optimization, familiarity with Linux environments and scripting, and exposure to cloud-hosted MySQL services like AWS RDS or Azure Database for MySQL. Preferred skills for this role include experience with monitoring tools, familiarity with Laravel or Node.js backend integrations, exposure to DevOps tools like Ansible, Docker, or Kubernetes, and an understanding of NoSQL or caching solutions such as Redis or Memcached.
